Your puppy will either be registered with the AKC, UKC, or CKC, depending on parents. (Currently, all pups from my program are AKC-registerable, yes.) Note that AKC registration is not an automatic indication of a quality dog (consider that most, if not all, puppy mill dogs are AKC-registered, so it does not automatically mean quality). Alternatives to AKC are happily becoming more common and there is very little that you can’t do with a UKC or CKC dog that you can with an AKC dog!
Pups leave here on a strict spay/neuter contract, so AKC registration will be what’s called “Limited,” which means you cannot breed that dog.
